What we do
LikelyTaken is a domain naming and scarcity intelligence platform. We help founders, indie developers, and small teams answer one question before they commit to a name: is it actually available?
Domain availability is not binary. A name can be registered but expiring, on a drop list, parked but never used, or available across .com but taken everywhere else that matters. LikelyTaken surfaces that context, not just a green or red light.

Domain availability search
Search any name and get an instant availability report across the major TLDs (.com, .io, .co, .ai, .app, .dev, and others). Results include registration status, expiration date where available, and a scarcity score based on handle coverage across social platforms. Free, no account required.
Name generation
Enter a concept or describe your product and LikelyTaken generates candidate names, then immediately checks availability for each one. Generated names are filtered for domain viability, not just creativity. Free, no account required.
Name watchlist
Monitor names for availability changes. Free accounts watch up to 10 names using adaptive polling. Committed plan accounts watch up to 100 names with daily checks and same-day expiration alerts. Requires a free account.
Domain graveyard
A browseable index of recently expired or dropped domains filtered for naming quality. Graveyard entries are scored for pronounceability and memorability. Free, no account required.
Brand reports
A one-time purchase ($29 per report). Nine-section PDF covering domain availability across TLDs, social handle coverage, brandability assessment, scarcity analysis, competitive landscape overview, and registrar recommendations. Delivered by email and available for immediate download. Requires a Committed plan subscription.
API access
Programmatic access to availability check and scarcity score endpoints. 500 calls per day. Documented at /api-docs. Committed plan only.
Pricing
Most features are free with no account required. The Committed plan is $12 per month. It adds 100 watchlist slots, daily availability checks, expiration alerts, brand reports, and API access.
Cancel anytime. No questions. Billing is monthly via Stripe. There are no annual contracts, no setup fees, and no overage charges.
Company
LikelyTaken is an independent software product. It is not affiliated with any domain registrar or hosting provider. When a search result includes a registrar link, it may contain an affiliate referral parameter. Affiliate relationships do not affect availability scores or recommendations.
